This is a used pocket watch made by Elgin in the US.
Only the main body, no accessories
This watch is a government-issued item designated by the U.S. government and was issued to military officers during World War II.
Also, at the bottom of the hinge there is a stamp of IWC.co.BASE METAL.
It's probably an Inter made case.
Manufactured in 1941.
The machine is a high-quality machine made by ELGIN (made in the United States at the time) with 17 jewels and a gold-plated bridge, and is a late model with a dial that indicates minute increments.
*Early model has no plating on the bridge and is in 5 minute increments.
Although the maintenance history is unknown, it currently operates with accuracy comparable to quartz, with an accuracy of around +-1 second per day.
