Yes its true. This is a certified piece of the Moon. It came to us here on Earth in the form of a Meteorite that crashed in the Algerian Desert. Lunar Breccia is what you are seeing here. A well intact sample of the moons surface. This was found in 2018. It likely was ejected from the lunar surface by an impact big enough to blast some chunks of the moon so high in the sky they were pulled into the Earths gravitational field. Over tens of millions of years or so the chunks of ejected lunar debris became meteorites and eventually crashed into the sands of Algeria. This comes with a certified card of authenticity. The number on the card is linked to the specimen and from there you can find further details about this find.
