In good antique condition with a 5 degree tilt. 24” Tall and 6.5” diameter at base. Weighs over 11 lbs. The top read “der Drechsler anno 1793” which translates to The Woodturner 1793. Another line reads, “O MST GEORG STOFER” who is the recipient of this reward; probably graduated to Master. Another line reads “Meister Coldef” which is master of some craft COLDEF. Another line reads”hoch lebe das-edli handwerk” which means Love live the EDLI craftmanship. Don't know what EDLI means. The bottom line reads “GEISLINGEN GESCHENK VON MEISTERIN UND DER MEISTER L ZU” which means a gift woman master and the man master from L ZU. The 3 German words that I couldn't translate could be old German words or obscure abbreviations.
