Vintage unsigned designer estate mid-century gold-plated domed filigree brooch with aurora borealis rhinestones. The filigree style metalwork, which is a delicate and ornate design, is quite feminine and Art Nouveau/ Victorian in style. It highlights scroll and dot work, creating textured swirls and beaded accents. The iridescent aurora borealis rhinestones, a finish developed by Swarovski in 1955, gives them a shimmering, multi-colored rainbow / oil slick effect. Unsigned designer piece.
The unique and scarce piece is 2” in length, is 1.75” wide, and highly domed for a more dramatic and almost like royalty, regal like effect. The piece is in excellent vintage condition with gorgeous metalwork and beautiful plating. The pack locking pin mechanism is secure and in good working order. There are two bars in the back that you can thread a chain or ribbon through to wear as a pin pendant necklace is you so desire.
