Set of Four Vintage 1970s OTAGIRI GRAZING HORSES Sushi or Trinket Dishes!

This striking set of four hand-decorated OTC (Otagiri Mercantile Company) SUSHI DISHES are vintage 1970s, and feature the use of white enamel against a matte black surface. The grazing horse on the left is outlined and detailed in white, while the horse on the right is done entirely in white, creating a stunning reverse-image contrast. The trim edge of each of these dishes shows the underlying white porcelain, Of course, nearly fifty years-on, these dishes find many uses other than the traditional one for serving sushi, and are sometimes even employed as night table trinket dishes for small items of daily wear like rings, watches, necklaces, and so on. Each of these four dishes weighs 5.3 ounces, and the set of four weighs 21 oz before packing. Each of these small sushi plates is 6.5" long, 4.5" at the wide end, and stands about an inch high off the table. Dish set is in excellent vintage condition and is free of defects. No chips,cracks, scratches, scrapes, repairs, or stains.
