This is a signed dating to the 1950's - 1960's. The frame is textured gold tone. It has a wavy undulating design. The closure is a safety locking box clasp securely soldered to a post on the frame. The pin stem is straight. This brooch is in very good condition. Size is 1 inch in width by 3 inches in length.
Coro was founded by Cohn and Rosenberger in 1901/1902 in New York City,NY and incorporated in
1913. A factory in Providence, RI was established in
1911. The company was sold to Richtor Intl. Corp. in
1970 and bankrupt by 1979. Coro is possibly the most popular jewelry brand of the 1950's and 1960's. The Coro Pegasus mark was used after 1955.
