Westmoreland Vintage Green Carnival Glass Shell & Jewel Sugar Bowl Lidded c1890

Part of an early Westmoreland line called Victor, the Shell and Jewel pattern was produced in 1890. This is a scarce pattern in carnival treatments as only the creamer and sugar have been found iridized. This antique piece comes with a lid and measures 5.5 inches in height and 3.5 inches in width. This sugar bowl has some years behind her.. she is just as old as Yosemite National Park and also shares the same birth year as Idaho and Wyoming which became the 43rd and 44th states in 1890. She does show her age a tad as the iridized shine is not as vibrant, but she is by no means dull. There is a small fleabite on the mouth of the base, which is pointed out in the last two pictures.
