The nun turns in a circular motion as the mechanical music plays. It does go slow but it does not take away from the charm of this piece. I asked my mother , a Catholic, which song it was playing. She said it was “Dominique” - the nun has a Catholic rosary and still has the Apco Japan sticker on the bottom, however it is almost coming off. I believe she is made of ceramic or porcelain. From one Catholic household to another ; I hope this piece finds its forever home <3
