Mexico Metales Casados Sterling Silver Turquoise Pendant Necklace - Double Sided - 23 Inches Long -
This gorgeous and unusual tribal style pendant is made of sterling silver and set with turquoise inlay on one side and pipestone on the other. The turquoise side displays am embedded ethnic designed bird in brass. The almost black pipestone displays a spiraling abstract design.
The pendant measures 1 3/4 inches (45mm) wide and 1 7/8 inches (47mm) tall. It is 1/8 inch (3.5mm) deep. It is signed on the bail "Metales Mexico AVM".
The hefty rope chain is 23 inches long and is 1/8 inch (3.5mm) in diameter. It is also signed "Mexico, MJM, 925".
The approximate total weight of the chain and pendant is 39.3 grams. It is a substantial necklace, both the chain and pendant have a nice weight.
This necklace is likely from the 1930s before the Eagle marks were stablished.
