Large handmade nativity scene featuring assembled wooden figure bodies mounted on a solid wood base. The set includes Mary holding Baby Jesus, Joseph, a shepherd holding one wool sheep & two wool sheep on the base. Each figure is dressed in hand-sewn fabric & garments with natural wool hair & beards, giving the set a warm, rustic, folk-art character. The wooden base includes a small manger with straw-style bedding & shows gentle surface wear consistent with age & use, which adds to the vintage handmade charm. No makers mark. Overall dimensions (approximate): 12.5" tall at the tallest figure, 21.5" across left to right as displayed in photos. This is two separate bases, measurements are side by side including both pieces, 10.5" front to back on largest base. Materials: wood bodies & base, fabric clothing, wool accents (hair, sheep), straw-style bedding.
