Amoxi-Tabs (amoxicillin tablets) is a broad-spectrum oral antibiotic for a wide range of common bacterial infections in dogs and cats. It’s used to treat certain strains of respiratory, urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, and skin infections such as lacerations, wounds, and abscesses. Amoxi Tab comes in five different strengths as a film-coated tablet. It’s rapidlyIt’s rapidly absorbed and diffused after dosing. It can be given with or without food and is available by prescription from your vet.
- Broad spectrum for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections of the respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal tracts and skin.
- Rapid absorption following oral administration. Can be given with or without food.
- Tablets come in 5 strengths and are film-coated with no bitter taste.
- Tablets do not dissolve quickly, making “spit-outs” easier to re-administer.
- Dosing typically every 12 hours for dogs and every 24 hours for cats, as recommended by your vet.
- Also available in liquid form as drops called Amoxi-Drop (amoxicillin oral suspension).
