Commonly known as The Federalists Papers, a series of 85 essays written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay under the pseudonym "Publius" between October 1787 and May 1788.
Purpose: The essays were published anonymously in New York newspapers to urge New York voters to ratify the proposed United States Constitution over the existing Articles of Confederation.

This edition was primarily for members of The Limited Editions Club. The edition consists of 1500 copies of which this is #1199. Signed by Bruce Rodgers whom designed and decorated this edition.
The binding is bound in leather with gold gilding. No markings or writings in the books. Clean and well preserved.
