This was used for a couple of weeks when I tore the minicuis in my knee and it was a godsend to me. I had suffered with so much pain before I started using this. After having this the swelling went down and I could actually walk again and not feel full of pain. I am happy that I no longer need it and would love for someone who suffers from pain to be able to have this to find releif like I did. It plugs in so the heat keeps coming and when you want you can put in a cold pad for swelling if you want to alternate. Sports injury clinics use these I am told. I paid $190.00 for this
