The is a vintage Japanese handcrafted stoneware teapot, likely from the 1970s1980s, made in the style of Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC)
Sticker on bottom: "HAND CRAFTED © O.T.A.G. ORIGINAL JAPAN" Otagiri was a major Japanese exporter of giftware ceramics from the 1950s1990s. The cloud-shaped foil label with "HAND CRAFTED" and "©" is classic Otagiri.
Deep cobalt blue drip glaze with white vertical streaks and brown iron oxide accents. Textured horizontal ridges on the body.
Rattan-wrapped handle (bamboo core with cane wrapping).
Unglazed gray clay spout and lid knob with glaze drips.
Side-handle (yokode kyusu-style) teapot with arched rattan handle.
