A bit of a mystery for the serious collector or vintage style lover. This dark brown, 1960's era fedora is from a previously unknown manufacturer, V. Fabio & Co. of Florence (Firenze) Italy. Embossed on its supple leather sweatband is "Snugfelt Hats", an unknown designator. The hat itself feels similar to other rabbit fur felt hats of its era and is a very good condition with the exception of a few spots, highlighted in the last photo above. With a 2 inch over welt brim and the original feather placed in its 2 inch grosgrain hatband, this hat is the epitome of mid-century style.
