The main feature is an 18-hole score tracker, which allows users to add or subtract strokes and move to the next hole, while keeping an overall score. This mode is often activated by holding the "SET" and "MODE" buttons simultaneously. In addition to the golfing feature, the watch includes standard functions such as time, date, alarm, and a chronograph (stopwatch). It features the INDIGLO backlight, a proprietary Timex technology introduced around that time, which illuminates the entire watch face for visibility in the dark.
