Darling 1970s handmade felt Christmas card holder crafted from Bucilla Kit 3404 "Jeweled Christmas Mail Bag" (1978). Hard to find. This adorably kitschy wall hanging is large and depicts Santa’s jolly face and lush white beard as he holds a festive envelope hand-stitched with the word "Mail.” The beard opens up to serve as a charming pocket to hold Christmas cards. Can be displayed with or without cards. Features white, green, and red felt appliques with sequin, gold braid, and embroidered accents. Red loop at the top for hanging.
Size: approx 23” x 18-1/2”
Very good vintage condition. Some wrinkles that will fall out after hung or laid flat for a couple of days. Some light discoloration inside bottom of pocket and on back, but cannot be seen when displayed. (Please see last pics.) A great piece of authentically vintage holiday decor!
