Elegant vintage Amrose New York women's wool hat from the 1950s, crafted in deep navy felt with a softly structured crown and gently rolled brim. Fully satin-lined with the original Amrose New York label and clear crown protector—hallmarks of fine mid-century millinery.
The horizontal seam between crown and brim shows where a narrow grosgrain band once sat, now missing. Inside the sweatband is a hand-stitched white cross mark, possibly a finisher's or blessing stitch unique to the maker.
A refined and collectible example of post-war New York millinery craftsmanship.
Condition:
Very good vintage; clean lining, original band missing, minute (1–2 mm) pinhole left side virtually invisible.
