This listing is for a rare set of three (3) vintage metal fishing lurers, all marked with the brand name "ARCHER" and a specific patent date of "PAT. JULY 1910."
These distinctive metal fishing lurers from the early 20th-century were used for fishing or catching small aquatic animals. Their design is characterized by a pointed metal shaft intended for penetration, topped by a cross-bar with curved, barbed, or hook-like protrusions designed to securely hold the catch. The construction is robust and shows excellent craftsmanship for its era.
Each lurer includes an original metal swivel connector and appear to be in their original, unrestored, vintage condition.
