This very old nutcracker was made in the Erzgebirge region of East Germany when it was still the GDR. It has signs of age and use, as can be seen in the photos but it is still in very good shape for its age. Interesting and indicative of its age are the eyebrows and moustache made of pieces of wood.
The nutcracker is approx. one foot (30 cm) tall.
