This is a beautiful Cloisonné Plate/Plaque reproduction from The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), presented in its original red silk-lined box.

The design is a faithful reproduction of the famous "Poppies" hanging scroll held in The Met's Asian Art collection.

* Original Artwork: The piece is based on the style of Tawaraya Sōsetsu (active mid-17th century) and the Rinpa school of Japanese painting. The original artwork is a colorful and stylized depiction of poppies.

* Medium: Decorative Cloisonné Enamel (enamel baked onto a metal form).

* Size: [Insert size here - e.g., Plate is approx. 5.25" in diameter.]

* Condition: The plate is in excellent condition. The original presentation box is also in grate shape, showing minimal wear. Includes the original informational card as pictured.

This is a wonderful item for collectors of Japanese art, Rinpa style, or Metropolitan Museum of Art reproductions.
