First edition, first printing hardcover copy of Man of Steel & Velvet by Aubrey P. Andelin (Pacific Press, 1972). Rare true first edition copy of this classic psychology / self-help / etiquette / spirituality book about Andelin’s views on manhood and masculinity. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and some tears. Boards straight and fairly clean save for bumped corners and some faint scuffing to faces. Binding is firm though spine is slightly cocked. All pages clean and unmarked though tanned.
