Vintage 1940s Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver & London Blue Topaz Glass Cuff Links
This striking pair of antique cuff links dates to the highly collectible Golden Age of Taxco silver in the 1940s. They feature simulated London Blue Topaz stones—a rich blue-colored glass—set in beautifully crafted sterling silver mounts. The styling is classic Mid-Century Taxco, often geometric and substantial. The cuff links are fitted with a unique style of toggle backing, and interestingly, due to their age and handmade nature, the toggles on the two links do not point in the exact same direction, a charming detail that speaks to their vintage authenticity.
They are marked with a faded pre-1948 Taxco registration mark and a clear maker's mark that reads ME. Both cuff links measure 3/4 inch long by 5/8 inch wide.
