Vintage Serpentine Jade Grape Cluster-Stone Leaves-Mid Century Italian-Fruit

Vintage serpentine jade grape cluster sculpture, measuring 9.25" x 5.5" x 4.5". Each grape is carefully carved from pale green serpentine stone, with realistic translucence and soft luster. The leaves are hand-carved from darker stone, detailed with etched veining and attached to wire stems wrapped in blue silk cord. The branch is finished with a natural wood segment for added authenticity.

This piece was crafted in Italy during the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1960s), a period when carved stone fruit was popular for export and interior display. Often produced in Tuscany and Verona, these decorative objects were prized as symbols of abundance and were a staple in Hollywood Regency, Italian Renaissance Revival, and Mediterranean Revival style interiors.

Condition:
Overall good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Some minor scratches. A couple of small chips are visible on the stone leaves (see photos), but grapes remain intact with excellent polish. Displays beautifully.
