This is a late 19th to early 20th century German/Bohemian porcelain reticulated serving dish, Rococo Revival style, probably made between 1880–1910. The impressed "W" mark is likely a mold or factory designation, used by several German porcelain makers (Volkstedt or Dresden-area factories being the most probable). Schumann is a possible maker of this dish, as they were known for producing similar items during the 1800s.

Reticulated porcelain serving dishes became popular in the 19th century, particularly during the Victorian era. These pieces were often used for serving fruit, candies, or other delicacies at formal gatherings. The openwork design, known as reticulation, added an element of elegance and allowed for better air circulation, keeping the contents fresh.
