Unused US military issue M18 Claymore anti-personnel mine M51 test set, in its original bag.
This is a testing device used to check if the wiring of a deployed Claymore mine is intact.
Normally, a Claymore setup consists of the main Claymore body, an M57 firing device, an M51 test set, and cables. This is the test set component only.
Like the M57 firing device, push it in until it clicks. If there is continuity between the left and right terminals, the LED on the side of the unit will light up. (It will not light up if there is an open circuit or a break in the wiring.)
Use it when you want to hear the click, or when you want to check the continuity of the wiring.
