Maes, Francis
Born in 1963. Graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and Ghent University. In 1993, he received his Ph.D. from Ghent University with his doctoral dissertation "19th Century Unaccompanied Choral Music." From 1996 to 2002, he was the artistic director of the Flanders Music Festival. In 2002, he became a professor at Ghent University (musicology). Specializes in Russian music history and Janáček.
Morita, Minoru
Born in 1935. Graduated from the Department of Russian Language, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and the Department of Musicology, Tokyo University of the Arts. After serving as a lecturer at Hirosaki University, an assistant professor and professor at Miyagi University of Education, he is now a professor emeritus at Miyagi University of Education. Specializes in the music of Russia and the former Soviet Union.
Umezu, Norio
Born in 1966. Graduated from the Department of Russian Language, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and completed the doctoral program in Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo. After working as an assistant at the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo, he is now a lecturer at Kogakuin University and Tokyo International University. Specializes in Russian music history and representation culture.
Nakata, Akemi
Born in 1973. Graduated from the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed the master's program in Musicology, Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Currently enrolled in the doctoral program. Specializes in Soviet music.
