Rare Find: This item is hard to come by. Magnificent large 14 inch Octagon shape 2002 Spode plate-The Signature Collection. This plate features a blue and white floral design. Originating from an under glaze print from a hand engraved copper plate, first introduced in 1830. Titled "Floral" It is part of the Spode Blue Room collection, which reproduce designs originally introduced in the 19 century. The signature collection is known for its distinctive motives, including, botanical, floral and other scenes. This specific floral pattern features a large sunflower in the center of the plate and was first introduced around 1830. This large 14 inch stunning meat dish/platter is one of a limited addition from Spode Signature Collection. And decorated with back stamp, the signature collection reduced in limited annual quantities. This piece is number eight of the year 2002 edition of 250 specimens. Spode is made in England.
