This is an excellent book that comprehensively conveys the appeal of the Shakers' lifestyle, buildings, crafts, and tools.
I used to borrow and read it often at the library, but it was removed from circulation. When I tried to buy it myself, it was at an exorbitant out-of-print price, so I reluctantly obtained the original English version. However, I ended up repurchasing this Japanese edition, paying a high price.
The words underlying the Shakers' lifestyle, such as functional beauty and order, which are common to their daily lives and product creation, are scattered throughout the book. I highly recommend getting the Japanese edition.
Due to aging, there is deterioration such as yellowing on the cover and the outer edges of the book, and there are scratches and stains consistent with storage in a typical household, so you may get the impression that it is worn. However, the condition is suitable for reading.
It will be packaged in waterproof packaging and shipped via Yu-Pack on weekdays and Takkyubin (Yamato Transport) on weekends and holidays.
