With the theme of "furniture as art," it examines trends in recent sculptures and three-dimensional works while introducing the works of prominent artists and furniture designers such as Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Gerhard Richter, and Richard Artschwager. Notably, the exhibition director was Wim Crouwel, a leading postwar European graphic designer, and the catalog design was handled by the London-based design group 8vo (Octavo). Despite being a thin publication, it features an experimental approach.
