The 1997 "Bias" season is known for Rei Kawakubo's new challenges to the structure and tailoring of clothing!
Rei Kawakubo used "bias cut," which cuts fabric diagonally, to create soft lines that follow the body, as well as unique twists and distortions!
The design intentionally disrupted the structure of ordinary clothing, and was characterized by designs that reacted to the shape and movement of the human body!
The designs of this period questioned the conventional role of clothing as "covering the body," and attempted to blur the boundaries between clothing and the body!
Drapes, distortions, and twists were intentionally incorporated, and many clothes showed different expressions depending on the movement!
This item has a romantic detail, such as the ZIP being hidden when closed!
