This is a cheerful Japanese fukuro obi covered in flowers. The back fabric is a solid color.

There is no stiff lining in this obi.
Fabric seems to be a woven blend but I cannot determine the fabric.
Measures approximately 12 x 144 inches.
Due to age, has some dust, dirt, marks/light stains and folds to the fabric.
Hanger not included.
An obi is a wide fabric belt/sash traditionally worn in Japan to secure a kimono.
A fukuro obi is patterned on 60 percent of the obi with the other 40 percent a solid color fabric.
Ways to enjoy an obi in your home:
- as a dining table runner,
- across a side/accent table
- across the foot of your bed
- hung on the wall.
This obi can also be upcycled to make tote bags, pouches, or throw pillows.
Purchased by me when I lived in Japan.
