"K.L. Schmaltz 'Flying One' Hand Signed Original Lithograph from 1983 by Listed German Artist
K.L. (Karl-Ludwig) Schmaltz, born in Vellahn, Mecklenburg, Germany in 1932, is a renowned artist known for his innovative approach to art. His work, 'Flying One,' is an original lithograph hand signed and dated by the artist in pencil. This piece is hand numbered H.C. 18/150.
Schmaltz refers to his works as 'Molecular Sculptures,' inspired by the smallest unit of matter, which he uses as a moving subject to develop his sculptures from the inside out, allowing them to grow in a crystalline manner.
This lithograph was part of a special edition for German Lufthansa Airline in 1984, presented to their first-class passengers.
