Antique Edwardian hat pin featuring a raised cameo-style portrait of a lady framed within an ornate oval border. Originally crafted in silver-plated brass, most of the plating has worn away with age, revealing the warm brass beneath and leaving a naturally aged patina.
The portrait head measures approximately 1 1/4" long and 1" wide. The repoussé-style relief captures the fine details of Edwardian fashion, with flowing hair and a softly draped gown.
The steel shaft measures about 9" long, perfect for securing the large and elaborate hats of the early 1900s.
