Vintage hand-painted porcelain art ball ornament by Frederick Francis, signed / dated 1984. My favorite part, the gorgeous solid built-in metal hanging system.
This is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, featuring an abstract hand-painted design in soft pastel tones with expressive line-work. Made of porcelain (not glass) with a smooth glazed finish and a solid feel - weighing approximately 3.62 ounces. Approximately 3.5” in diameter (larger size).
These ornaments were originally sold through artisan gift shops and art fairs and now collected as vintage decorative studio art work and displayed as a holiday ornament or as year-round décor displayed in a bowl, stand, or curio.
