Description
Original antique Victorian-era cabinet card photograph dating to approximately 1895–1905. Studio portrait by Watson Portraits of Jamestown, Ohio, with the studio imprint visible on the card mount.
The photograph depicts an adult woman identified as Aunt Lorena, seated with two children. The reverse contains an original handwritten family notation reading: “Aunt Lorena (their mother) Dad (Jim)”, providing clear family context and added genealogical interest. Identified cabinet cards are increasingly desirable among collectors.
Condition is consistent with age and handling over more than a century. Light surface wear, scattered spotting, and softened corners are present. No major creases or tears. Image remains well-defined with good contrast and strong facial detail.
