A Japanese urushi-lacquered wooden tableware set: 1 vintage large plate + 5 matching small plates.
Made by two different makers, but both are finished in a distinctive black style known as Zokoku-nuri, a traditional lacquer technique from Kagawa. They match perfectly and create a cohesive and elegant presence for the dining table.
★Condition:
All plates are Like New and appear unused. You may notice lacquer irregularities (small brown spots), which are original and common in Zokoku-nuri lacquerware and not signs of use. The large plate comes with its original box, which shows age-related wear and manufacturer information. The included paper insert has a tear.
