Up for sale is a scarce, large Calico Chintz–covered storage jar canister made in Staffordshire, England. Fresh from a local estate, this stunning and hard-to-find piece is a wonderful example of classic English pottery craftsmanship.
The canister is in remarkable vintage condition, showing no chips and no cracks. As expected with Staffordshire pottery of this age, very close examination reveals fine, beneath-the-glaze crazing, which is consistent with age and authenticity.
