Iridescent Ivory Blown Art Glass Christmas ornament with gold webbing on stand. Handmade, hand blown by Stuart Abelman of Van Nuys, California in 1995
Circumference is about 11.5 inches. Height is approximately 4 inches and the stand is 9 inches tall.
Ableman is a renown fine art glassmaker with his own studio in Southern California. Since the 1970s, he has developed his own formulas and uses the finest silica sand to ensure the purest quality glass possible. Each piece is made entirely of hot molten glass and is worked and completed at the furnace. All the colors and design patterns are formed from hot glass. No paint. Many of his beautiful colors are made with gold, silver and other precious metals. He has pieces shown in galleries and museums around the world and in private and celebrity collections are around the globe.
