I'm 52 and have been carrying this around as long as I can remember. It is an 8lb laced leather medicine ball. It is appropriately 12.5" wide and 39" around/circumference. I remember getting this from the middle school in Marinette, WI. It used to be the original city high school and in the early 80's, while it was now the middle school, the original high school gym was still present & standing. It had a basketball court with a complete wood running track on the second level. There were so many neat old things in that place, but like all things, demolished. This is a surviving piece.
I really can't tell you much more about it. I know it can be cleaned/colored/conditioned, I always liked it just as it is.
