Elegant late-19th/early-20th century octagonal frame presenting a hand-painted miniature portrait of Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, inspired by Thomas Gainsborough's famous painting. and signed miniature under domed convex bubble glass, set within a sunburst face of slender ivory panels and banded with richly mottled tortoiseshell to the sides; the portrait is encircled by a gilt beaded bezel and the back retains the old silk-covered board with tiny tacks and a hanging loop.Please check out all my other listings!
