At around 100 years old, this is a true vintage gold filled expansion "sweetheart" bracelet from the WWI or WWII era, marked "Marilyn" and "Made in USA". Sweetheart bracelets were marketed as keepsake gifts from soldiers leaving for war during World War I and II as a token of their love when being deployed. It has an expansion link band and a heart at the center. The back of the heart was left blank for monogramming to add a personal touch. This one has the name “Betty” engraved on the backside of the heart. I tried my best to show the name, but it’s so old that it’s worn down and difficult to capture in pictures. The front side of the heart is in great vintage condition, and still so beautiful. The backside has a few nicks as it should have for its age. This vintage bracelet tells a story of romance and heartbreak.
