Beautiful Vintage Kutani Porcelain Mandarin Ducks – Japan, circa 1950s–1970s

This exquisite pair of porcelain mandarin ducks (oshidori) was handcrafted in Japan’s renowned Kutani region. Each piece is richly detailed with hand-painted feathers, soft pearlescent glazes in cream, lavender, and gold, and features an impressed circular Kutani mark on the underside.

Symbolism: In East Asian art, mandarin ducks represent enduring love, fidelity, and happiness in marriage.

Approximate Measurements:
• Larger duck: 7” L × 4.5” H × 4” W
• Smaller duck: 6” L × 4” H × 3.5” W

Condition: Excellent vintage condition considering age. No chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Light wear consistent with age and display.

A wonderful addition to any collection of Japanese porcelain, mid-century Kutani, or symbolic Asian art décor.
