This has been an advanced restoration of the vintage 1991 Teen Talk Barbie. She now talks!!!
This doll came to me in pretty much destroyed condition. Half of her neck was broken into pieces; she could not talk.
After cleaning up her voice box, I started restoring her neck. The neck was rebuilt and repainted to match her skin tone. It is now fully functioning, and it turns, but please be gentle with it.
DO NOT under any circumstances perm, boil, or wet her neck area or take her head off! Her neck is sealed with a protective coating 5X. However, it is not designed to withstand extreme pressure or water damage.
*You can change her hairstyle with hot tools if you wish.
*Toes missing on the right foot- toes were resculpted.
*Hair perm boiled and gelled.
*Face paint upgraded/repaint
This was a very difficult restoration, and I hope there's someone out there who appreciates the craftsmanship and feels as much love for this doll as I do when restoring it!
