The pendant is a unique and exquisitely detailed rendering of a very charming fish
The pendant is 3-D and displays both sides of the fish completely.
The fish pendant itself and the accent beads at top and bottom test sterling
The patterned beads that comprise the necklace itself are likely a blend of silver and other metals -
- as is traditional to the artisans of the Miao Hmong people of SE Asia and China
The beads and pendant are strung the traditional way tightly on strong black cord.
The necklace hangs at a graceful length of 26 in. , from which the pendant hangs
The pendant is large - 3 1/2 in. long and 1 1/2 in. wide
So the entire necklace length is about 29-30 in.
It's also quite substantial feeling at 80.8 grams altogether
Cannot be certain of the age or tribe - but obviously an older piece - in great vintage condition
