This is a vintage French tin can, dating back to the 1930s-1950s. It is made of aluminum and features embossed detailing.
The can is engraved with "MINERALINE," "Dr C. BAUD," and "Rue de Birague." Rue de Birague is a small street in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, and it is likely that this product was sold there.
Inside the can is talcum powder (baby powder) that has remained untouched since the time it was made. This powder was used for caring for children's skin.
When I'm in France, I love to browse flea markets early in the morning before the crowds arrive, looking for unique items like this. This is an antique, so I'm leaving it in its original condition.
