【Tested】Contax 137MA Quartz + Yashica DSB 50mm (Contax-3)

The "(Conta-2)" at the end of the product name is a serial number for product management.

This camera is a so-called Contax/Yashica mount aperture-priority AE-only MF single-lens reflex camera released by Yashica in May 1980.

It functions well. The exterior has a considerable amount of wear on the lens, but otherwise, there are no noticeable scratches or stains.

The light seals and leatherette are still in usable condition.
There are a few areas around the leatherette where the adhesive has come loose and slightly lifted. Re-adhering is easy, but I have left it as is since it was stored in its original condition.

The shutter curtain is generally in good condition.

A few specks of dust can be seen inside the viewfinder, but it is generally in good condition.

There are no problems with the mirror and prism.

The lens is a Yashica DSB 50mm 1:1.9, and it shows considerable wear.
Fine dust can be seen inside the lens, but I don't think it will particularly affect the image quality.
By the way, DSB lenses are lenses where only the mount was changed to a bayonet (B) type without changing the construction of Yashica's M42 screw mount DS lenses, and they were used in early Y/C mount cameras such as the Yashica FR.

The strap is a general-purpose item and shows considerable wear.

The filter is a Kenko MC Skylight (1B) 52mm, and it has minor scratches and stains that do not interfere with shooting.

The lens cap is a Yashica genuine product.
There is no strap.

The eyecup is a Canon Eb, used as a substitute.
It's for EOS cameras, but it happens to fit perfectly on the Contax.

Batteries (4 AA batteries) are not included.
