This exceptional Victorian decanter with its original stopper is a true rarity, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1895 and made by silversmiths Bishton & Fletcher (B&F).
The glass body is richly encased in sterling silver overlay, featuring finely engraved decorative motifs typical of the late Victorian era. The hallmarks (lion passant, anchor, Gothic "b", B&F) are crisp and complete. The original stopper bears an engraved monogram, adding character.
