Hardcover copy (edition and print number not stated) of the BlackTail cocktail menu book (Drinksology, 2017). Incredibly rare book by the infamous NYC bar, largely influenced by the drinks of Havana, Cuba in the early 20th century. The book is divided into three parts: their cocktail menu featuring 40 recipes, a story about a young writer’s travels in 1920s Havana called, “Destination Havana” by Jared Brown, and the story of the bar’s namesake, Blacktail, the aviation renegade who ran rum in his small aircraft in prohibition days. Beautifully illustrated throughout. Missing the postcards this book was originally published with.
Some mild shelf wear to cloth-wrapped boards. Corners slightly bumped and fore edge of covers bowed away from text block slightly (see last photo). Binding is firm and spine is straight.
