Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Morpho Butterfly Wing Brooch Pin - Intense Blue - Excellent Condition.
This lovely antique Edwardian butterfly wing brooch is diamond shaped and measures 1 1/2 inches (40mm) wide and 5/8 inch (17mm) tall at the center.
The butterfly wing is placed under a domed glass which protects it. The bezel setting seals the edges. It is well made, the butterfly wing is intact and bright.
Marked simply "Sterling" it has an older C clasp without a safety catch. Since there are no British marks, we estimate it was made in the United States sometime around the early 1900s.
There isn't any damage, but there is patina. This brooch should never be submerged in any liquid. It could destroy it.
